Kia Motors Union in South Korea Cuts Planned Strike to Two Days From Four

(Bloomberg) -- Workers at Kia Motors Corp., an
affiliate of South Korea's biggest carmaker, cut their plan to
hold work stoppages in a pay dispute to two days from four.
Shares rose following the announcement.

The 28,000-member union will walk out for four hours during
both the day and night shifts today and on July 6, it said today
in a statement posted on its Web site. The workers previously
planned to hold stoppages for four days starting today,
according to the statement. Kia shares rose 2.5 percent to
14,500 won at 10:01 a.m. in Seoul after jumping as much as 3.5
percent.
