UPDATE 3-Strayer profit, forecast beat views; shares jump

(Reuters) - The Arlington, Virginia-based company also forecast third-
quarter earnings of 60 cents to 62 cents per share, compared
with the analysts' average outlook of 51 cents, according to
Reuters Estimates.




Strayer's results were especially encouraging because,
compared with last year, their profit margins grew, said
analyst Mark Hughes of SunTrust Robinson Humphrey Capital
Markets.
